Lake Parz → mountain trail → medieval Goshavank → Armenian lunch
From a mountain lake through forests and mountains — to the history of Goshavank and a homemade Armenian meal.
This is a full-day route combining nature, history and Armenian hospitality. At 10:00 we leave Dilijan for Lake Parz, where the 7 km hike to the village of Gosh begins. Along the way we follow forest trails, cross open landscapes and enjoy mountain views. In Gosh we explore the medieval Goshavank Monastery, followed by an authentic homemade Armenian lunch at Mama Manush’s home. We return from Gosh to Dilijan by transfer.

The hiking part is about 7 km along forest and countryside trails. Enter your weight to see an approximate calorie estimate.
After 7 kilometres through forests and mountains, we do not go to a restaurant. We go to someone’s home.
In Gosh, Mama Manush welcomes us with a real homemade Armenian lunch — the kind of food prepared not for a tourist show, but for guests.
A generous table, homemade food, Armenian dishes, conversation and that special feeling of being welcomed into the home of someone you know.
After the walk, there is no need to rush: sit down at the table, enjoy a hot meal, rest and simply take in the atmosphere.
For us, this lunch is not an add-on to the route — it is part of the experience.
This is how our day in Gosh ends: warmly, deliciously and unmistakably Armenian.
